The Franklin Industrial & Commercial Development Authority (FICDA) was established in 1985 to operate the Venango Area Industrial Complex. The complex consists of three buildings on 23+ acres located in the City of Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
In 1988, FICDA had 8 tenants and 139 employees. Today, FICDA is home to 28 businesses, employing over 800 people. There have been a number of businesses who got their start at FICDA and have moved out and into their own buildings throughout the community.
Starting and running a small business is difficult and many fail within the first two years. FICDA offers amenities such as low-cost office and manufacturing space, with flexible lease options. In addition, technological and business assistance service are offered to the entrepreneur.
