The
Franklin Industrial & Commercial Development Authority is pleased
to be able to offer the community the benefits of the Emerging Technology
Center, or ETC.
The building's
first floor, totaling 12,500 square feet, has been completely
renovated and includes a well-equipped conference room, a training
room, a computer lab with high-speed internet access and 11 computers,
and all the telecommunications and visual presentation equipment
necessary to conduct business in today's business world.
This building
is prepared for people that want space that will encourage free
thinking and, therefore, is no longer a traditional office building.
While there was a need for a state-of-the-art building, we wanted
to show our appreciation for our past. With that in mind, we had
the Galena Conference Room (Galena Oil), which accommodates 12
people remodeled in a motif of that period. The CPT Training Room
(Chicago Pneumatic Tool) accommodates 36 people. One wing of the
building is known as the Joseph Joy wing, while the other is in
honor of John C. Reib. For information on using any of these spaces,
including the computer lab, contact sally@ficda.org.
Among our
tenants are Graphic
Storm, creating high-end graphics on all media, and specializing
in graphic displays for trade shows, advertising banners for local
retailers and area manufacturers, and using interactive web technology
on their website, Software Technology
Concepts, LLC, Titusville Fabricators, STI
Service, contruction surveying and environmental planning,
and Letterle &
Associates, LLC, an environmental consulting and remediation
services firm.
